Panigyri - all Night Greek Dances, Live Music, Food and Wine

One of the highlights in summer of Kefalonia are the festivals called “panigyri”. They are open-air festivals with traditional live music, dances, souvlaki and local wine. Here you can join in with the Greek round dances. Learning by doing, until late in the night. It´s for sure that you will have a lot of fun. These festivals take place throughout the summer in various villages across the island. You will regularly find updates here in the blog. Let us start with the ‘panigyri’ in Valeriano on Saturday, 28 June, from 21:00, next to the church of the village. The same day, there is also a feast in Faraklata, from 20:30 on at the Cultural Center Panait Istrati. And a third is the festival of traditional dances and local food, which takes place in Kaminarata at 19:30 at the stadion of the village. Now it´s up to you to choose where to go.
