Walking through the Abandoned Village of Old Farsa

Over seventy years ago, almost all the towns and villages on Kefalonia were destroyed in a severe earthquake (1953). If you drive across the island, you can still see the ruins of the houses in many places. Entire villages were abandoned and rebuilt a little further away. Like Farsa. On Sunday 29 June, you can visit this village on a guided walk. The tour will be in Greek, but the impressions of this village speak for themselves. Organized by the Municipality of Argostoli, in cooperation with the community of Farsos and the Cultural, Historical, Folklore Association ‘To Rifortso’, Meeting point is the cultural center of Farsa, at 08.30 in the morning. Necessary equipment: water, appropriate clothing and footwear.
