Mikis Theodorakis in Argostoli

The famous Greek composer MikisTheodorakis spent part of his childhood on Kefalonia. In his honour, a sculpture of him will be unveiled on 12 May at 7pm in front of the music school in Argostoli. In the evening, you can enjoy a concert at 9 pm in the Kefalos theatre and listen to the composition ‘Axion Esti’. It will be proformed by important artists: ERT Mixed Choir, ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra, Dionysis Sourbis baritone, Alberto Fais narrator, Babis Vellisarios folk singer, under the musical direction of the Director of the National Opera Chorus Agathaggelos Georgakatos.
