Mikis Theodorakis in Argostoli

The famous Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis (1925-2021) spent part of his childhood on Kefalonia. In his honour, a sculpture of him will be unveiled on 12 May at 7pm in front of the music school in Argostoli.  In the evening, you can enjoy a concert in the Kefalos Theatre at 9 pm and listen to the important composition ‘Axion Esti’. It will be performed by great artists: ERT Mixed Choir, ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra, Dionysis Sourbis baritone, Alberto Fais narrator, Babis Vellisarios folk singer, under the musical direction of the director of the Choir of the National Opera Agathangelos Georgakatos.
